The team has a Cave Simulator that can be transported around the County for use at Camps or Section Meetings. This is ideal for use by Beavers right through to Leaders. It is made of a set of wooden boards with holes in covered by a black tarpaulin. It can be set up in several differentways making it more or less difficult with or without chambers, dead ends or choices of rout
The team can transport and set it up, or you can collect it. It can either be used solely as a fun activity, or as a training aid for caving. It might not look like a cave, but it can teach you how to manoeuvre your body round in tight passages.
Contact us for more information if you are interested in hiring our cave simulator.
Our caving simulator design has been used by a Scout group in Canada, their page with information is here
